New billboards aim to fight stigma of mental health
Gulf Bend Center recently launched a multicounty billboard campaign to get the word out and keep the conversation going mental health. The marketing campaign will spread over a 6-month period. The campaign is designed to reinforce what the Center has been communicating which is mental health is a brain disease and should be given the same consideration as a physical health issue. The hope is to help alleviate the prejudices against mental health with are often barriers that prevent those suffering from getting the treatment they need. Mental health is also a community issue that must be combatted together.
Three core messages will rotate over the six-month time period. Each message will be displayed for approximately two months before it is switched out. By opening up the conversation, you can reduce stigma, isolation and fear.
