You can call the NEC (toll free in USA - 1-800-POWER2U or 1-800-769-3728; Outside of USA - +978-685-1518) for information on topics like advance directives, shock treatment, self-help groups in your area, legal services in your area, meditation and self-help techniques, coping with depression, etc. They also run advocacy services, and are writing a history of mental illness from patient's perspectives. The site design is minimal but easy to use.
